Our House

I've received several requests to post a few pictures of our new house. So I am posting a page I designed on the computer for a digital scrapbook of some kind. :)

God has blessed us by providing a foreclosure for us to buy- and thus, afford a BEAUTIFUL home!

We have already enjoyed inviting Jeremy's entire team (13 teenage girls) over for dinner. We look forward to building many wonderful memories here. Hope all is well...more to come later!

Our "new" life...

Hello friends and family! It has been far too long! We have been in our new house for a little over two weeks- and life is just beginning to get into a routine of some sort. We are truly so so blessed to have such a beautiful home. Waking up to the gorgeous woods in out our backyard is my favorite part. We are pretty much all unpacked- now its just saving up and prioritizing for what to do, update, paint or furnish next. Luckily, we won't have to worry about what to pick or do for a while given that we need to be conservative with the funds. :) We have so much to enjoy- so we don't "need" anything.
We have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to friends in La Crosse and to Jeremy's parents for all their help. It could not have been done without you. Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to help us! We will be forever thankful.
So the last 2 weeks have consisted of unpacking, organizing, lots of runs to walmart or home depot for needed items, and just a general getting settled that comes with moving to a new state. I (kate) started my new job last Monday and am enjoying it as much as one can enjoy the first week of any new job. My co-workers are very, very nice and the patients are unbelievably wonderful. For those of you who don't know, I am an office manager at a Chiropractic and Massage center in Elk River. I will be working about 30 hours a week which is good as I continue to IMPROVE my health! This week, I will be in Washington D.C. for a big conference which is sure to be enriching for my current profession. I will miss Jeremy and our house to be sure, but am trying to see the positive of getting to go to D.C. and stay in a nice hotel for a few days. Jeremy officially starts coaching tomorrow! He has try outs and then will begin regular practice for the Varsity team. He has been busy setting up his teaching room, getting prepared for the Volleyball season and completing tasks at our house such as hanging up towel racks and watering our sod daily. :) Needless to say, we are officially adults now! No more rent- time to face the music and the mortgage. I have no doubt there Jeremy will be challenged these next few months but also that he will be an exceptional teacher! I am proud to be his wife.
Other that that, we went to Bethlehem Baptist Church last weekend in Minneapolis. While there, we discovered that they have a church plant about 5 minutes from our house! That couldn't be any better- so when I return from D.C., we are going to check that out- and not have to drive the 35 minutes to church each weekend!
I am starting to really miss our church in La Crosse, along with my good girl friends. Any weekend visits are welcome so call or e-mail us if you're interested~!
That is the update- please let me know how all of you are and know that we still continue to pray for you.

In Christ, Kate (and Jeremy)
